This hotel is on top of a nightclub and is VERY loud. As you can imagine, the room is very dimly lit. If you still feel like booking a trip to hell and DO stay here, take a power pack as the only power point in the room is in the corner…and you’ll have to unplug the light source of the room, a stand alone lamp, to be able to use it. It is VERY hot in Vegas, a functioning aircon is paramount, and you won’t get that in this hot box, or even a fan. Not that this matters anyway because the electrical prongs on the iron are bent and spark when you try to plug it in. The ironing board cover is dirty and very stained. Rooms are only turned down every three days, so expect a long walk to reception if you need a fresh towel. But the tiny bathroom that floods every time the shower is turned on houses cockroaches, the base of the shower is cracked, the grout is and aged and really dirty, and there is a tile missing on the wall that leaves a lovely mould filled hole to add to the decor. Sure it’s a roof over your head, a bed, and a shower. Unless you have done something truly awful in a past life that you feel you deserve some terrible karma for, do not stay here. We picked this location based on price, and it’s proximity to Fremont Street. Featuring a prime location in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, Oasis at Gold Spike is only steps away from a variety of popular tourist and local destinations including Downtown Container Park, the Fremont Street Experience, and the Fremont East Entertainment District, home to many of the city’s best and hippest new restaurants and bars. Grab a bike and explore the neighborhood. With 24/7 dining at the Fiddlestix at Gold Spike, you’re covered from breakfast to late-night snack. “SupaJames” has quickly become a household name in not only these markets but also an influential name in the music business, and familiar name in the club scene nation wide. This break didn’t last long as James rejoined the radio world with Royce International Broadcasting and now can not only be heard by over 1 million listeners daily, between 3 markets including San Francisco (KREV), Las Vegas (KFRH) and Palm Springs (KRCK) but where he programs 3 TOP-40 Stations. “This is where I learned the difference from being a DJ to a Entertainer, and Vegas is what made me the DJ I am today.” He spent a brief time at KVEG/Hot 97.5 as a weekend mixer before taking a brief leave from radio to put all his focus into the nightlife scene. From this day the ambition and growth has been non-stop, taking his talents to San Diego for a brief run at the age of 17 before landing in Las Vegas just after his 18th birthday. He spread his talents out from Production on the local morning show, to every school event and private party he could get his hands on. He began DJ’ing and spending time around his local radio station at the age of 15. Born and Raised in Palm Springs, California, “Supa” James has always had a curiosity and passion for music and entertainment.
